Feel connected to your world when you run in the Mesa Trail II

Tens of thousands of Xero Shoes customers loved the Mesa Trail’s combination of lightweight comfort and trail-gripping security.

The Mesa Trail II improves on that with more rugged, durable, and protective welded components on the upper, a breathable mesh, and a moisture-wicking lining that’s ready for wherever you take it.

  • Breathable mesh upper
  • Protective welded components
  • Huarache-inspired design

LIGHTWEIGHT COMFORT

You’ll love hitting the trails with this “just right” balance of lightweight comfort and trail-gripping security. The Mesa Trail II is even lighter than the original.

The adjustable midfoot and instep straps hug this trail runner snugly to your foot. The thin, durable toe cap and tough sidewall welding work hard to give you added protection.

TRAIL-GRIPPING

Our patented FeelTrue™ sole features 3.5mm lugs for optimal traction. Enjoy how our 3.5mm TrailFoam™ layer evens out the bumps during your trail run.

Best for: Trail running, hiking

The zero-drop sole allows for natural movement

Sole thickness: 11mm

Xero are my go-to running shoes

"I have been wearing Xero shoes for a few years now, buying from the US site until recently. I was very pleased to receive my Mesa Trail II shoes quickly from the fairly new UK site. I had ordered half a size up as advised on the site (and on the US one in the past). Xero still seem to make sizing overly complicated! When I found the shoes too big, the free returns service was excellent, swapping for the normal size I wear, which were delivered quickly. Very pleased with the shoes on my first run in them, barefoot feel with protection on the rather lumpy gravel trail. Thank you Xero."

Fell runner, North Cumbria, UK

"I've titled my review so that people may be able to judge whether these shoes are suitable for their running and climate! North Cumbria is very wet, there have been a few instances of 'slipping' underfoot when wearing these. Not major slipping at all but I'm careful of landing on smooth wet rock in them, but that's nothing unusual. I actually ordered another pair a half size up to get more toe spread but kudos at offering half sizes in the first place! These ones make very comfortable walking shoes. They stay in. place when on your feet and no laces coming undone! The real benefit though is the cushioning. I love low profile shoes and am significantly more injury free with them but some of them. . . well, they are very painful impact on. loose gravel. . . Will be buying these again. Worth the cost, which, by the way, is less than their like for like competitors."
