The 6.0 mm FeelTrue® sole gives fantastic ground feel while still protecting you from the elements, while the dual direction chevron tread provides you confident grip. All that and they still only weigh 204 grams each for a men’s 8.

Figuring out sizing is never easy. That’s why we also have FREE EXCHANGES. Most people find our size recommendation gives them a proper fit, but just in case, we have a free exchange program for all UK orders.

For Men looking to buy the Women’s version because it is narrower – the conversion rate is 1 times, e.g. a Men’s 7 is a Women’s 8.

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

Z-Trek

How do I get the right size for my Z-Trek?

Use the templates that are linked on the fit page (scroll down to find the different sandal templates by size and style).

NOTE: Please measure your foot and/or use the templates. Sandal size is very often different from shoe size.

What if the Z-Trek is too long for me?

There are 54 different foot shapes. And no product will fit everyone perfectly.

If you’re not sure you have the right size, drop us an email with some photos (top, side, back) and we’ll give you our opinion.

If you have the right size but the Z-Trek shape doesn’t quite match your foot… CUT IT! That’s right, you can trim the Z-Trek with a good pair of kitchen scissors. To finish the edge cleanly, try some sandpaper. Don’t cut off too much, too soon, though. Take off just a bit, and then see how you did. Remember, you can’t UN-cut.

If you’re a man with a very narrow foot, you may be better in the “women’s” style. Conversely, women with very wide feet, or over a size 10.5, should check the sizing for the “men’s” products.

What can I do in the Z-Trek?

Pretty much anything you want. Take a walk on the beach, a hike in the woods, hang out with friends, stroll around the campsite, approach a climb, paddle a canoe, run a marathon…

I’m not sure that Z-Trek, or any sandal for that matter, is right for lateral motion sports, like tennis or basketball.

So, use your common sense and HAVE FUN!

Can I adjust the Z-Trek lacing across the toes?

You sure can. Just slide the webbing through the slots on the outside of the sole to get the tension you like.

Note: A lot of our customers report that they like the toe strap looser than they thought they would. Experiment and see what you like best.

What’s the difference between Men’s and Women’s Z-Trek?

The women’s Z-Trek is a bit narrower, and the webbing is 4mm thinner.

So if you have a narrow foot, whether you’re a man or woman, you may want to check the “women’s” sizing templates and see how those work for you. Similarly, if you have a wider foot, regardless of your gender, check out the “men’s” templates.

Very Impressed!

Premium quality material makes for a comfortable feel on foot. No blisters, very soft and secure fit. I have used these for running, hiking, and everyday activities. Very impressed with this sandal and this brand.

Great shoes

Long time user of barefoot shoes (multiple original feiyue's, merrel vapor glove 4) so was no stranger to the 6mm thickness but it was my first time getting a barefoot sandal. I was pleasantly surprised by how stable they are on your foot. The one downside is that if it's dusty, the inside of the sandal doesn't grip as nicely, but it's still super solid. If I could make any adjustment I would add a thin layer of canvas to the inside of the shoe, and I would add a copper rivet because who doesn't want grounding properties? Defo would recommend, esp at this price point.

Z-Treks go anywhere.

They are very comfortable. The soles seem tough enough to last a long time. These will be my go-to footwear for the summer. The sizing chart is accurate, they run a little big. I wear 11 in HFS, 10.5 in daylight hikers and had to get size 10 in the Z-trek.

I was wary of the thin soles, thinking they wouldn't give my feet enough protection. But, they protect my feet even over rough shale rock in my driveway. I've never worn any footwear that allow such freedom of movement and comfort but still protect my feet at the same time. These are my go to Summer footwear.
