Lightweight Road Runner

An evolution of our best selling road running shoe, the HFS II is even more comfortable, and more stylish. While we call it a road runner, we know you’ll do much more in it and can’t wait to see the pics of where it takes you and what you do. HFS II is a high performance road running shoe that’s so comfortable you’ll wear if for pretty much everything else you do.

  • A stylish update to a classic Xero Shoes road-runner
  • Lightweight, grippier and comfier
  • A new tire tread-inspired sole

Light, Grippier, and Comfier.

Like the original HFS, the HFS II is super lightweight so you’ll feel like you’re flying down the road. And with a new tire tread-inspired outsole, you’ll feel secure even if you go off road. HFS II is so comfy, you might forget to take them off at the end of your run – we’ve even had people go to bed still wearing their shoes because they forgot they had them on!

We Haven’t Sole-d Out 🙂

The HFS II sole looks thick, but it’s an illusion. We’ve added a thin BareFoam™ layer for extra protection and wrapped it, cup-like, around the upper giving the HFS II a more familiar-looking profile.

Best for: Road running, running, walking, fitness

The zero-drop sole allows for natural movement!

Sole thickness: 9mm
Insole thickness: 3.5mm

The next Prio but fit for the city

"These shoes are quite reminiscent of the Prio to me, which were my introduction to Xero before the Wynns became my daily do-it-all wear for comfort. But compared to the Prio's 5.5mm soles, the 9mm soles in the HFS II are better suited for hard concrete pavement (which I really need hurrying to the train station each morning). OG stylish look with wide toe boxes for urban applications, and I'm a fan of the clean white and grey colour scheme."

Great show, but be wary of sizing

"So far so good. Shoes is comfortable and I've enjoyed some slightly longer runs. Be warned though - despite the website advising the fit is true to size, I've taken advice from Reddit and gone a half size up and don't regret it (probably could have gone a full size up). Reckon the fit would have been too small otherwise."

Excellent gym shoes

"Use these regularly for CrossFit and strength training, and they're excellent. Sturdy and stable base of support, good for lifting as well as explosive/plyometric movements. Highly recommended!"

— Max F. (5/5)

Great, but sort the laces!

"I’ve been a long time wearer of Xero and had the HFS1 until the some wore through. These are a great evolution though come up more true to size. My only criticism? If you add the extra lace hole to facilitate a proper running lace up method then you need to fit longer laces. The supplied laces are way too short to allow the correct use of that extra hole!"

Comfortable and appear robust

"I have walked four miles a day in these for the last few weeks and they look like new. Very pleased"

— Lee M. (5/5)

One of the best shoes I worn

"I have two, othet pairs in blue and black. I wanted to get a pair in white."

— David H. (5/5)

Great running shoe

"A lot more support / protection from road surface and rocks compared to vivos without compromising on the toe space. Probably the shoe I should have started with, very comfortable for running."

— Pete T. (5/5)

HfS II - men's grey

"Good advice for women to buy men's shoe for extra width. Disappointed that for the price, the laces had a defect."
