Figuring out sizing is never easy. That’s why we also have FREE EXCHANGES. Most people find our size recommendation gives them a proper fit, but just in case, we have a free exchange program for all UK orders.

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

Z-Trek

How do I get the right size for my Z-Trek?

Use the templates that are linked on the fit page (scroll down to find the different sandal templates by size and style).

NOTE: Please measure your foot and/or use the templates. Sandal size is very often different from shoe size.

What if the Z-Trek is too long for me?

There are 54 different foot shapes. And no product will fit everyone perfectly.

If you’re not sure you have the right size, drop us an email with some photos (top, side, back) and we’ll give you our opinion.

If you have the right size but the Z-Trek shape doesn’t quite match your foot… CUT IT! That’s right, you can trim the Z-Trek with a good pair of kitchen scissors. To finish the edge cleanly, try some sandpaper. Don’t cut off too much, too soon, though. Take off just a bit, and then see how you did. Remember, you can’t UN-cut.

If you’re a man with a very narrow foot, you may be better in the “women’s” style. Conversely, women with very wide feet, or over a size 10.5, should check the sizing for the “men’s” products.

What can I do in the Z-Trek?

Pretty much anything you want. Take a walk on the beach, a hike in the woods, hang out with friends, stroll around the campsite, approach a climb, paddle a canoe, run a marathon…

I’m not sure that Z-Trek, or any sandal for that matter, is right for lateral motion sports, like tennis or basketball.

So, use your common sense and HAVE FUN!

Can I adjust the Z-Trek lacing across the toes?

You sure can. Just slide the webbing through the slots on the outside of the sole to get the tension you like.

Note: A lot of our customers report that they like the toe strap looser than they thought they would. Experiment and see what you like best.

What’s the difference between Men’s and Women’s Z-Trek?

The women’s Z-Trek is a bit narrower, and the webbing is 4mm thinner.

So if you have a narrow foot, whether you’re a man or woman, you may want to check the “women’s” sizing templates and see how those work for you. Similarly, if you have a wider foot, regardless of your gender, check out the “men’s” templates.

Wrong style for me

These sandals gave me the biggest blisters I have ever had on the soles of my feet! I think I must step on the rim round the back of the sandalsat the outer edges. Love these sandals

Absolutely love these sandals. Been trying to find a trekking sandal for a while now. Took a while to figure out that the straps shouldn't be pulled tight but once you get them fitted correctly they are super comfortable. The rear velcro strap is great to pop them on and off quickly and even after getting the straps wet on the beach they don't rub at all. Nor are the soles slippy when wet. I did print off the measuring chart but check your printer has printed it to the correct scale as I ordered the wrong size to start with, and there can be a bit of a wait for delivery. Will be interesting to see how quickly they wear but in the mean time they'll be on my feet all summer! Might even order another pair.

Nice sandals but...

I love these sandals, for the start of the time I wear them! But they have the brand name embossed around the heel and after a couple of hours of wearing them that is really really sore on my feet. Maybe I have delicate feet (didn't think so!) but I am looking for some kind of filler I can use to smooth this off and then I can walk miles and miles in these shoes, which is what I want!

Excellent Gift for Healthier Feet!

As of 04.22.2023, Z-Trek Sandals: A truly EXCELLENT Shoe, Greatly Appreciated! ....but not "loved." I, "L O V E" JESUS CHRIST; and NOT the things of the world; even if the thing of the world is proven to be "EXCELLENT." Hence, while the intellectually logical intent of the above 5 Star option is understandable, with use of the word "love;" given the current context, the word love referencing a product, simply prohibits an Appropriately Righteous Spiritual choice. Conversely, the above 4 Star Option presents the next highest available FREE Space that aligns with, and allows for a more appropriate Freedom of Expressed TRUTH. Nevertheless, CONGRATULATIONS for having created Z-Trek - Women! Wishing you the continued absolute very best!
