Mikas are THE BEST shoes I've ever owned

As the title suggests; these are my most favourite shoes I've ever owned. I've had them for like 5 years and in all that time (outside of work) they are basically the only shoes I wear. I live in the Scottish Highlands and often go hiking up the nearest mountain with the most difficult terrain - rocky, heathery, holey, brushey... And the Mikas are absolute Bomb for it! They're flexible enough to feel where I'm walking and allow my feet to move properly to compensate for the terrain, balancing on rocks and jumping over streams. And are protective against the rough ground and sharp heather. Yet even put through their absolute paces for these many years, they have held up perfectly and are still to this day my day to day shoes as well. I cant stress enough, that I pretty much ONLY own this one same pair of shoes for a good while now... and I don't even mind! They feel like putting on a cosy glove for my feet. They are warm and So, So comfortable. Nice and roomy in the toes, whilst the lace-up gives you freedom for however wide or slim your ankles are. And they look absolutely great. I've had so many compliments on them. There was one time when the whole drive outside my house was black-ice and that was the only time I've ever experienced a lack of grip, and even my partners Vivo's couldn't handle it. Aside from *literal black ice*, no grip problems for me! I fully recommend them. (and have done to anyone who will listen). As you can probably gather; I love the Mikas... To Death! I will be buying my next pair when mine sadly eventually die. (still going strong after 5 years or everyday use). Please, please, please, please get the purple ones back in stock!! Or even red or brown would be awesome! Thank you Xero for the best shoes ill probably ever wear, they have been well loved.

Great but no grip when walking.

I’ve been wearing these boots for 8 days and love them. The only negative thing about them in my experience so far is the lack of grip on the sole hence the 3 star rating. In fact I had to really hold onto the rail as I climbed the outside (wet) airline steps to board my aircraft which was scary so I’m not looking forward to walking in rainy or icy conditions.

Fit amazingly and look fab!

I have narrow feet so these are perfect for me as still get the bare foot wide toe box but they actually fit without leaving too much material bending. The laces are designed brilliantly and they look fab! I’ll be buying the purple ones next! They kept my feet dry on a wet playtime at work today splashing in puddles! One thing to mention is the toe box isn’t as wide as other barefoot shoes and doesn’t give my little toes room to spread out but better than normal shoes so still a win for me. Importantly !!!!!!! The sizes are listed incorrectly, you need to go off the European size NOT the UK. I had to return one pair and reorder a UK 10 which is the same as an 8 (euro 42). It says the wrong size in the shoe label too so big error has been made here and it wasn’t even acknowledged in correspondence with them whilst doing the exchange. They were however great at providing a refund for the item when I had to reorder as it had gone up to full price so swiftly refunded me the difference, honouring the free exchanges.

Finally a boot that fits!

I have very long and straight big toes which have always been hard to fit shoes to, recently it has become impossible to find any boots at all that fit my toes in and don't rub my narrow heels. I was desperate and out of options until I made my first Xero shoes order and the Mika boots fitted on first try, I took the advice to order half a size up and I'm glad I did as they fit perfectly. Thank you so much for providing footwear for people like me it makes such a difference knowing I know have options to choose from.
