Genesis sandals come pre-laced but you can find the perfect fit in seconds using our patent-pending tension adjustment system. Figuring out sizing is never easy. That’s why we also have FREE EXCHANGES. Most people find our size recommendation gives them a proper fit, but just in case, we have a free exchange program for all UK orders.

For Men looking to buy the Women’s version because it is narrower – the conversion rate is 1 times, e.g. a Men’s 7 is a Women’s 8.

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry.
We do not recommend putting your Xeros in the washing machine or dryer.

FAQs

Why don’t you use leather or hemp laces?

You can use almost anything for lacing huaraches.

In my testing, though, I found some issues with hemp and leather that I didn’t like:

Both leather and hemp tended to stretch, especially when moist
Both leather and hemp tighten and stiffen when they dry
Both leather and hemp wear out faster than our polyester laces
Leather is much more expensive
Most leather laces are rectangular, and the edges can dig into your skin
Leather isn’t vegan (for those who care about that)
Leather and hemp don’t give you as many fun colour choices

The 100% polyester cord we use is strong, light, and doesn’t stretch or tighten, especially when wet.

Also, I prefer the “slip-on” method of tying which works best with a round lace, rather than a flat one (like leather).

Needless to say, you can replace the lace we send you with whatever you like.

Worst sandals ever, and no reply.

Its been a good waste of time and money. Went to the website and was confronted with Sale On signs. Added 1 pair of Gemini to basket and went to the checkout to find i was being charged the full price. So I emailed and asked why, to be told the sale was over, and that people had been emailed about it so it didn’t matter the Summer Sale was still advertised on the website, everyone knew. Everyone? I was a new customer, they didn’t have my email, and they didn’t have much computer understanding either. They offered me a part refund if I just sent the order number, so I paid full price and requested a part refund to be told I had already received the discounted price, which I had not. So I had to point this out, before someone opened their eyes and saw I was right. The sandals arrived and I had to watch a video about how to adjust them. I spent a week trying to get them to stay on my feet in a secure way that allowed me to walk. The soles are so thin that as soon as I lift a foot the front part can be felt flapping about like a wet fish. And its so thin as soon as I put my foot down I can feel whatever is underneath sticking into the sole of my foot, including the rubber stopper holding the string, which is not stuck in place, and is thicker than the sole so now I have a permanent “thing” pushing up into the base of my foot. I can feel it, its putting strain into the ball of both feet, very uncomfortable. And as I am trying to walk, the flapping front sole is folding itself underneath constantly, so the only certainty is that these will break long before they wear out. These sandals are uncomfortable, insecure, and each of the 3 attempts to wear them have resulted in me having to take them off and walk home barefoot. They must be the worst In despairation I contacted Xeroshoes for help, and so far no reply has been received. I should have read the Trustpilot reviews, seen the 2.6 rating and followed my instincts to buy something else from a different shoe maker. A waste of money, a waste of time, incompetent people and poorly designed sandals. If its any consolation, the quality of shoe matches the quality of the company. Terrible experience.

Decent sandals, difficult ordering

Sandal is good, holds on nicely and is lightweight. The ends of ropes after the adjustment are too heavy and flap about clicking on the floor when walking buy can be pryed off. My biggest issue was ordering the right size, ordered from UK site got sent the US size, then went a size up got sent UK size! The website could do with being adjusted to UKx or USx so it is clearer to know what is being ordered.

Genesis men's

Very light weight and flexible with super feed back. They took a little bit of adjusting to get to fit correctly. I must have odd feet as the left took a lot longer and they are a bit of a fiddle. Saying that xero have a good video to explain.
