Xero Shoes Announces Michael Pao as New Chief Product Officer, as Dennis Driscoll Retires After 44 Years 

Broomfield, CO (September 12, 2023) –  Xero Shoes announces Michael Pao as its Chief Product Officer, replacing industry veteran Dennis Driscoll, who retired after 44 years. Pao has worked in footwear marketing and management for global brands including Hummel, Adidas, PUMA, Crocs, Clarks, and most recently, Timberland. 

Pao will expand and innovate Xero Shoes’ “foot first” designs into new categories based on his extensive knowledge and experience in casual and performance footwear. He’s worked across the globe with various brands, leading cross-functional teams and developing product strategies to expand categories and reach new consumers. Prior to his career in product, Pao played soccer professionally across Asia.

Xero Shoes experienced significant growth in the US and Europe, as net revenue increased by 45 percent to reach $48.7 million in 2022. This growth was mainly driven by the expansion of the brand’s footwear offerings. Pao has recently joined the team at a pivotal moment and will play an important role in expanding the brand’s popular product franchises, such as the Prio, HFS, and Dillon. Additionally, Pao looks to forge unexpected partnerships and collaborations to attract more customers to Xero Shoes.
