How do I adjust the fit in Z-Trails?

Simple. First, slide the webbing through the slots on the outside of the sole to get the tension you like across your toes. Note: A lot of our customers report that they like the toe strap looser than they thought they would. Experiment and see what you like best. Next, just pull the end of […]

Do I replace the insole that comes with my Xero Shoes?

That’s up to you. The Naboso insole is about 3.5mm, so it’s a bit thicker than the insole (sock liner) that comes with our shoes. If you keep both in, you may find the shoe is too tight. Try it both ways and see.

Does it hurt to wear these?

You’ll know you’re wearing them, for sure, but most people don’t find the stimulation painful. If you do, wear a thin socks and only use the Naboso insoles for a short time so you can get used to the sensation. Once you’re used to it, you can wear the Naboso insoles for any activity — […]

Can I wear these with your sandals?

Hmmm… I’m not sure, frankly. We haven’t experimented with a way to secure them to the top surface of our sandals. If you decide to experiment and find a way that works, let us know!

What do those straps do?

Like all our shoes, the DayLite Hiker has a “huarache-inspired” heel strap. You can tighten or loosen that to give a bit more (or less) support around your heel, which can hold your foot in place better. And like the Prio, the DayLite Hiker has independently adjustable instep straps. You can tighten the laces going […]

What’s different between the Men’s and Women’s DayLite Hiker?

We use “men’s” and “women’s” as a matter of convention. We know there are some men who will fit better in the “women’s” shoe, and vice versa. The “men’s” style is a bit wider across the toes and in the heel. The women’s, conversely, have a narrower heel and slightly less-wide toe box. If you’re […]

How do I find my DayLite Hiker Size?

Sizing, as you’ve probably experienced, is different between brands. You may wear a 42 from one company and then anything between a 41 and 43 from another company. Luckily, if the size you get is incorrect, we do offer exchanges for our shoes. In Men’s sizes, the DayLite Hiker Fusion runs fairly true to size, […]

Is the DayLite Hiker Waterproof?

It’s not waterproof because the tongue is independent of the rest of the upper, though the ballistic mesh material in the upper definitely makes this boot a little more rain-friendly than most other footwear. If you really want to keep the water at bay, check out our Xcursion — Xero’s first fully waterproof boot.

What can I do in the Prio?

Practically anything. The Prio is our first “performance” shoe. It’s great for road running, light trail running, walking, hiking, working out, Crossfit, biking, and slacklining… it’s obviously up to you. Once you get them on, I’m sure you’ll do things we never thought of (and we want to see pictures of that!). Put on your […]

What do I do with those straps on the Prio?

I’ll admit, this is one of my favourite things about the Prio. The huarache-sandal-inspired heel strap can be used to hold your heel and ankle in place. Pull the straps through the ankle holes in the sole, and then lock them in place with the laces. The instep straps can be used to secure your […]
